Role of theN*(1535)resonance and theπ−p→KYamplitudes in the OZI forbiddenπN→ϕNreaction
2008
We study the $\ensuremath{\pi}N\ensuremath{\rightarrow}\ensuremath{\phi}N$ reaction close to the $\ensuremath{\phi}N$ threshold within the chiral unitary approach, by combining the ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{+}{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{\ensuremath{-}},{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{0}{\ensuremath{\Sigma}}^{0}$, and ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{-}}p\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{K}^{0}\ensuremath{\Lambda}$ amplitudes with the coupling of \ensuremath{\phi} to the $K$ components of the final states of these reactions via quantum loops. We obtain good agreement with experiment when the dominant ${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\ensuremath{…
Charged charmonium molecules
2010
We make use of a self-consistent quark-model based study of four-quark charmonium-like states to interpret recent charmonium experimental data. We conclude that there exists a ${D}^{*}{\overline{D}}^{*}$ meson-meson molecule with quantum numbers $({I}^{G}){J}^{PC}=({1}^{\ensuremath{-}}){2}^{++}$. Our study confirms the presence of charged charmonium-like resonances on the excited charmonium spectrum. We find support from recent experimental data by the Belle Collaboration [R. Mizuk et al. (Belle Collaboration), Phys. Rev. D 78, 072004 (2008)]. Confirmation of the experimental data by the Belle Collaboration and the determination of the quantum numbers of the new structures would help in dis…
High-statistics study of f0(1500) decay into π0π0
1995
Abstract A partial-wave analysis of the reaction p p →π 0 π 0 π 0 has been performed using a high-quality high-statistics data set of 712 000 events. In addition to the f0(975) and f0(1300), the scalar resonance with mass m = (1500 ± 15) MeV and width Γ = (120 ± 25) MeV is necessary to describe the data.
Der Zerfall des 2,4-sec100Nb
1972
The nuclide100Nb was produced by irradiation of enriched100Mo targets with 14 MeV-neutrons, and its decay properties were investigated employing scintillation and semiconductor spectrometers and coincidence techniques. A half-life of 2.4±0.3 sec and aQ β-value of 5.8±0.2 MeV were found. From 27 gamma-rays, 20 transitions, representing 95% of the observed gamma-ray intensity, could be placed in a decay scheme comprising 10 excited states of100Mo.
In-beam study of the 128, 130Xe nuclei
1981
Abstract The level structure of 128,130Xe has been studied in the (α, 2nγ) and (3He, 3nγ) reactions on enriched Te targets using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic methods. For both nuclei the existing information about positive-parity level structure was enriched and many new negative-parity two-quasiparticle states were observed. Isomeric states with the half-lives of 63 ± 12 ns in 128 Xe and 4.8 ± 0.5 ns in 130 Xe were found. For collective positive-parity states the interacting boson model, and calculations based on Bohr hamiltonian were compared with the experimental data.
β-decay of 35Ca
1999
Abstract The β-decay of the T z =− 5 2 nucleus 35 Ca was studied at the LISE3 spectrometer at GANIL. The 35 Ca decay scheme was deduced from its β-delayed proton emission into the ground and excited states of 34 Ar and from its β-delayed two-proton emission. The 35 Ca half-life was determined to be 25.7±0.2 ms. The measured transition strength function B(GT) is compared to results obtained from large-scale sd-shell model calculations.
Low-lying levels of201Hg from the decay of201Au
1972
The decay of 26.4-min201Au has been investigated using chemically separated sources and Ge(Li), Si(Li), plastic and Nal(Tl) detectors in different singles and coincidence arrangements. The β-disintegration energy was measured to be 1.27 ± 0.10 MeV. Thirteen γ-rays were observed to belong to this decay and the new levels at 543, 549.2, 552.8, 559.1, 605.7, 645.4, 732 and 1188 keV were established in201Hg, in addition to the three previously known excited states below 200 keV.
Measurement of the double-βdecay half-life ofNd150and search for neutrinoless decay modes with the NEMO-3 detector
2009
The half-life for double-{beta} decay of {sup 150}Nd has been measured by the NEMO-3 experiment at the Modane Underground Laboratory. Using 924.7 days of data recorded with 36.55 g of {sup 150}Nd, we measured the half-life for 2{nu}{beta}{beta} decay to be T{sub 1/2}{sup 2{nu}}=(9.11{sub -0.22}{sup +0.25}(stat.){+-}0.63(syst.))x10{sup 18} yr. The observed limit on the half-life for neutrinoless double-{beta} decay is found to be T{sub 1/2}{sup 0{nu}}>1.8x10{sup 22} yr at 90% confidence level. This translates into a limit on the effective Majorana neutrino mass of <4.0-6.3 eV if the nuclear deformation is taken into account. We also set limits on models involving Majoron emission, right-hand…
Do metric independent classical actions lead to topological field theories?
1991
Abstract We investigate the quantum theory of non-abelian BF -systems (gauge theories with the classical metric independent action ∫ tr BF A ). The fact that due to a complicated (on-shell reducible) gauge structure the quantum action of these theories does not differ only by a BRST commutator from the classical action, and that moreover the BRST operator turns out to be metric dependent, renders the standard arguments for metric independence inapplicable. We establish the topological nature of these models and argue that in gauge theories the information on gauge invariance is contained entirely in the metric independent part of the BRST operator. We make some general remarks on the relati…
The beta-decay of95Rb and97Rb
1983
Theβ-decay of 377 ms95Rb and 168ms97Rb has been thoroughly investigated by means ofγ-ray, conversion electron andβ-delayed neutron spectroscopy. More than 97% of theβ-decay to particle-bound states has been placed in level schemes of95Sr and97Sr. High-resolution neutron spectroscopic studies have allowed to extend the knowledge of the excitation spectra up to 9 MeV, respectively 10 MeV. The density of neutron-unbound levels in95Sr and97Sr has been derived from peak stripping analyses of the neutron spectra. Beta-strength functions (S β(E)) have been investigated in detail. They indicate that Gamow-Tellerβ-decay of both precursors is dominated by nuclear structure. The discovered pronounced …
